Horizontal ribbon blenders are
available in a variety of construction qualities
and designs to suit the required applications.
The basic construction is an open tub with welded
or bolted end caps on each end. Shaft seals are
incorporated into the end caps and the bearings
are supported by framework which also supports
the tub. Dairy grade construction is
typical stainless steel (304/316), 120 to 150
grit interior surface finish with a blasted
exterior finish. The end caps can be provided as
a bolted, gasketed design, or a continuous welded
construction. The tub ends are fitted with
Machine and Process Design's proprietary easy
clean USDA dairy approved air purge shaft seals. |
