Live Bottom Surge Machines, Storage and Tempering Bins

For over 30 years Machine and Process Design has been providing Horizontal Live Bottom Storage, Surge, and Tempering Bins* for bulk product to allow for process line optimization.  Such optimization can include surging excess production that exceeds the capacity of downstream equipment, and line halt for maintenance or cleaning.

*often called a storeveyor

Allows for Surging, Excess Production Rates, or Temporary Line Shut Down
Provides continuous first-in first-out material flow and allows uninterrupted flow to packaging or further processing on demand for downstream equipment.

Sized to Fit Your Capacitance Need
These units range from 50 ft3 up to 2,500 ft3 plus.

Clean In Place, Central Lubrication Hub
Minimize cleaning costs and downtime with in place belt cleaners.  Available with an optional central grease location hub for greasing all bearings in one location.

Live Bottom Design for Product Containment
Avoid endless cleanup headaches and product loss with no-leak bed designs and housing seals to keep product where it needs to be.

Live Bottom Design for Product containment
Product avalanches at the discharge of a horizontal bin are always a concern.  We have developed three discharge assist mechanisms to reduce or eliminate these avalanches.  The product flow characteristics determine the best assist mechanism for your application.
